Countermeasures for Infectious Diseases in Nagasaki BIO PARK after the Change in the Legal Status of COVID-19
In accordance with the change in the status of COVID-19 under the Infectious Diseases Control Law on May 8, 2023, the "Basic Response Policy" by Japanese government's Headquarters for COVID-19 Control and the "Guidelines for Zoos and Aquariums to Control COVID-19" by the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums will both be abolished.
From now on, individuals and businesses will be required to take basic infection control measures on a daily basis on their own initiative, so we will implement the following measures on our own.
- Encourage hand washing with hand soap before and after interacting with animals.
- Disinfecting shoe soles with disinfectant mats in front of the entrance gate, etc.
- Regular disinfection of exhibit areas during infectious disease outbreaks
- Implementation and education of zoonosis control measures
- Implement measures in response to information provided by related organizations.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we continue our efforts to maintain a safe and comfortable environment at the Nagasaki BioPark.
